Dynamic has the most used books, by far! Around 70 – 80% of our entire inventory is used.  These books, however, still go fast.  Since pre-orders are pulled before students start moving in you are more likely to get one!

The first few days of the semester are the busiest time of the year in the store.  Pre-ordering cuts out the waiting.  Just come in, tell us your name and we’ll have a box ready with all your books!  You’ll then be rung up at a register dedicated to those who reserved, ensuring you waste the least amount of time possible.

• Only get what you want!

With our new website you can easily pick and chose which books you want and which ones you don’t.  You’re not getting what we think you want, only the ones you pick.  Don’t want to go through all that and just want to give us your schedule?  No problem, just because something’s in your box doesn’t mean you’re obligated to buy it.  You only leave with the books you want.

When to Pick Up Your Pre-order

All books will be pulled and ready for pick up the weekend before classes start when students move in to the dorms.  Just let us know what day works best for you and we’ll make sure your books are ready.  Unfortunately we can’t hold your books after the first day of classes, after this time they will be  put back on the shelf, unless you make some type of arrangement before hand.

Payment Options

Although we do offer prepayment as an option it is not required to hold your books.  A valid check card or credit card is required for you to pre-order, but you don’t have to pay for anything until you actually pick up your books.  For payment, we accept:

• All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover)
• Personal Check with a valid ID
• Dynamic Gift Certificates
• Although we can’t accept book vouchers directly we can make special arrangements, please see our payment options page for more details.

How EasyText Pre-Orders work:

1. Provide us with a copy of your Spring 2012 class schedule.

2. Choose to prepay for your books or pay for them when you pick up (for pick-up on Monday, January 23, or Tuesday, January 24th, you must PRE-PAY).

3. We’ll box up all of your required books and have them ready for you.

4. Come into the store January 20th-24th to pick up your books.

Dynamic Bookstore has the best return policy for West Chester University students. No other bookstore will provide copies of your receipts on file for returns.  You won’t get stuck with your books if you lose your receipt with  us!  Many students have horror stories about trying to return their textbooks, only to be turned away and stuck with $100+ in textbooks simply because they didn’t have their receipt or they didn’t accept returns.  Just make sure that when you purchase your books, you give your cashier your name and phone number so that we can store a record of your purchase in our computer system under your name.

Fall & Spring semesters:

The first week of class all books are completely returnable, no questions asked!  For this semester that date is January 27, 2012, by 5pm. After that you may return books up until the end of the second week with proof of a dropped class.  Unfortunately, after the last day of the second week of class we can no longer accept any full-price returns.

Summer semesters (5 week classes):

We do full-price returns, no questions asked, for 4 days during the first week of classes.

Summer/Winter semesters (1-, 2- and 3-week classes):

We do not allow returns for one or two week classes. For three week Winter sessions we allow returns up until the 2nd day of classes.

Please remember that NEW books must be returned in the same condition in which they were purchased.  Also, all shrink wrapped items must be returned in their original wrapping.  We also cannot return opened or used online codes such as Livetext or the SPA online workbooks.

If you have pre-ordered your books with our store for the Spring 2012 semester, and aren’t sure what the pickup process is, this article will help you speed up your pick up time .  Our process has changed slightly since past semesters, so here is a step by step guide to picking up your order.

• Make your way to our store at 20 Linden Street here in West Chester (behind the Papa John’s on High Street.)
• When you enter the store you will be directed to the Pre-Order Pickup Counter
• You will be asked for your name and one of our employees will go and get your box
• While waiting for your order, and your name to be called, feel free to browse the store. We have a large selection of hoodies and gift items, including  new items from League Apparel!
• Once your name is called, you will step up to the review area where your books will be processed
• During this time we will go over every item in the order, explaining what it is, and if there are any items that the student no longer wants, or something has changed with the order, we can take care of it immediately.

-If you find that after you leave the store, there is a book that you do not need, don’t worry.  Our returns period runs till the end of the first week of classes, and if you drop a class, you have until the end of the second week of classes to return books.

• After the order has been reviewed with the student, the order will be finalized.

-If you have pre-paid for your order online, you will simply have to sign your receipt and you will be free to go.

-If you chose online to pay for your books when you pick them up, after having your order reviewed you will be directed to an open register to pay for your books and finalize your order.

That is the end of the pre-order process.  Again, if at any time there is a problem with your order during your checkout process, we can take care of it immediately and you don’t have to worry about a thing. Please remember which day you chose to pick up your order when you filled out the online form, and try to get here as early as possible, because we expect a large number of customers on these days and the earlier you get here, the better.  Thanks again for pre-ordering with Lieberman’s Dynamic Bookstore at WCU.

Renting from Lieberman’s Bookstore vs. Renting Online

Online rentals will not show you the condition of the book and you will have to spend time waiting for it to arrive. With Dynamic, you can inspect and pick the exact book available for rent at our store anytime.

You may be held responsible if the book gets lost in the mail when renting online. Additionally, there is no guarantee that you will get the book in time for class.

Our rental prices are very competitive. You may think that you save money by renting from an online vendor, but in reality, students prefer to rent at our store they know and trust.

We have a return period that you can return your rental books without any additional charges. Simply return your book(s) within our normal return period, and you will get 100% of your money back immediately. When renting online, returning is a hassle because you have to ship the book back and wait for a refund, and it likely will cost you shipping charges. It may take several weeks to finalize your online rental.

Are you paying for your son or daughter’s books this semester?  What if they need to return, exchange or buy additional books once you have returned home?  By simply filling out a one page form, we can make that possible without you having to make a trip back to West Chester or transfer money to your child.  Our credit card authorization form allows your son or daughter to take care of returns and exchanges or buy additional books on your credit card, with your permission.  Once you have filled out our credit authorization form, they will not need your card present as long as they have a valid picture ID (without a photo ID we cannot do a credit card authorization, so make sure you don’t forget your ID!) We will then be able to charge your card with their signature.  You can authorize them to buy and return books, school supplies, clothing and more, or restrict them to textbooks only. The choice is yours!  When you come in with your son our daughter to pick up their books, just ask one of our employees for a credit card authorization form, fill it out, and upon check out that form will be processed.  With this quick and easy form you will be free from having to follow your son or daughter around the store on those cold winter days, and you can still pay for their books.  So fill out the form soon and save a trip the next time your student gets their books!
