There will be a buyback cart on Church Street in front of Ruby Jones Hall, another across the street from the Student Union (at the second crosswalk in front of the new dorms), a van on Church Street at the corner of Church and Rosedale, and a buyback location in the West Chester Commons Lobby. No matter which location you choose, Dynamic will give you the MOST CASH for your books!

How to Survive Finals Week

Another semester is coming to a close and that, of course, means only one thing: final exams! It is important to take care of yourself, get enough sleep, and eat well during this stressful time, for all of these things will help contribute to a better state of mind for test-taking! Here are a few quick and easy tips to follow.

For staying stress free
- Know your schedule: Write down all your final exam times and due dates for papers in advance.
- Get organized: Plan out your study schedule according to when you have gaps between tests.
- Don’t wait until the night before: Study for big tests in sections, ideally days in advance, and focus on one topic at a time.
- Take short breaks frequently: Your memory retains the information that you study at the beginning and the end better than what you study in the middle.
- Get motivated: Pick a time of day where you can efficiently get work done. By now, you probably know if you work best during the day, or at night.
- Study in a productive environment: Be realistic. Find a comfortable place with good lighting and little distractions. If you know that you will get distracted by roommates who are going out to party, go somewhere else! Try to avoid your bed, as well, because it will be tempting to just take a nap.

For taking care of yourself
- Get enough sleep: If you’re too tired and you’re reading late at night, chances are that you’re not absorbing any information. Go to bed and look at it with fresh eyes in the morning.
- Exercise: Move around and take breaks every once in a while— exercising your body for about 20 minutes a day will do wonders. A short walk, or even some yoga poses will do the trick!
- Eat right: 5 or 6 well-balanced smaller meals a day are recommended instead of the traditional 3 big meals a day, for that can slow you down mentally and physically. Try snacking smart (toast with peanut butter, hummus, tuna, or cheese and fruit).
- Eat breakfast: Coffee and a donut will not cut it—try to fit in some protein, calcium, fiber and even a piece of fruit or a vegetable in there to start your day off right! A bowl of cereal with milk and a piece of fruit would be perfect.

For Test Taking
- Take deep breaths— everyone gets anxious!
- Prepare! If you are comfortable with the material, you will be more confident and relaxed during the test.
- Bring extra pens, pencils, calculator batteries, gum, and any other items you may run out of.
- Look over your notes 5 minutes before the test.
- Scan the entire test when you first receive it so you know how to effectively budget your time.
- Do the easiest problems first. When time is an important factor, don’t linger too long on something you are stuck on—come back to it.
- Don’t worry if others finish before you. Focus on the test in front of you.
- Double check that your name is on the test and you haven’t left any questions blank.

Damaged Textbooks and Buyback: The Facts

Selling back your textbooks at Dynamic will get you the most money for your books!  However, one of the factors that can affect your buyback price is the damage to your textbook.  The following is a quick breakdown of some of the different types of damage that can occur.

Damage is one of the factors that can decrease the value of your book.  Please be aware of some of the damage that happens to textbook, and how that will affect your buyback price:

-Normal wear and use:
We understand that you use your book on a daily basis for classes and studying so typical highlighting , writing and wear and tear should not affect your buyback prices.

-Water-damage:
If your book has any type of water damage or soiled pages, it is likely this will affect some of your textbook’s buyback value.   In severe cases we will not buy the textbook at all.   Be careful to keep your textbooks dry!

-Missing pages/ Missing covers
Books that are missing pages (especially lab manuals/workbooks that you are required to tear the pages out and turn them in) or missing covers will not be bought back.  Books that are missing parts cannot be resold, and are often thrown out because they can not be reused.

If your textbooks have any other type of damage that may limit our ability to sell the book to the next student, we will discuss it with you at the buyback counter.   If you have any questions regarding the overall condition of your books, bring them to us and we will be happy to give you our feedback and appraisal.

We understand that you often buy books that are used, but try and keep them in the best shape and you will get the most money back!
