Have a book voucher? You can save more money at Liebermans.

During freshman and transfer orientations this summer, we had many new students and their parents asking us about how book vouchers work. It can be a somewhat confusing process and we would like to break it down for you in terms that are easy to understand.

  1. Your financial aid allows you to set aside a certain amount of money to spend at the on-campus bookstore
  2. You go to the bursar’s office and request the amount you are allowed to spend as a “book voucher”
  3. The bursar’s office reviews your account and decided how much that amount is, and writes it out for you on a slip of paper
  4. You go to the on-campus store with the slip of paper, they verify it on your account, and you are able to “spend” that amount on textbooks and school supplies
  5. Any money you do not spend gets reimbursed to you in a refund

It’s pretty simply really… If you shop with Dynamic Bookstore using your own credit card and hold onto that voucher money, you will get it all back in a refund, pay off your credit card and then use the remaining money for other things instead of having to spend it all at the on-campus store! Also, keep in mind, requesting money for a book voucher with the school can be a tedious process, requiring you to wait in line at the bursar’s office for hours, and if you do not request a book voucher at all, your refund comes to you much faster than if you do request a voucher and have to wait for the remaining money not spent.

Unfortunately, Lieberman’s Dynamic Bookstore is unable to accept book voucher money through the school – we have tried to work something out to do this with the University, but they have declined to let us participate.

Remember, we guarantee to beat SSI Bookstore on textbooks prices, and we carry twice as many used books as they do. Shop with Lieberman’s Dynamic Bookstore and SAVE MONEY.
